I take a holistic approach (looking at the whole person – school life, family life, and social life) when working with a student. I begin by reviewing prior testing and history. We then develop a plan in order to meet goals (academic and/or behavioral).
Typical goals (and results) include:
- An improvement in grades
- An improvement in self-advocacy
- An increase in responsibility (school and/or home)
- An improvement in family communication
- An improvement in school-home communication
- An increase in independence
